Several of you have inquired as to the ability to print out a specific blog post from the HeinOnline Blog. This week we’re outlining a quick shortcut that you can use to print out a specific blog post. The shortcut that is applicable for you depends upon the browser you are using. Therefore, we’ve outlined the options by browser below.
To get started, first head to the home page at www.heinonline.blogspot.com. Click on the title of the latest blog post to view the post in full. Then, skip to your browser listed below and follow the instructions.
Highlight the entire text of the post from the Date or Post Title to the very last sentence. Open the File menu from your browser’s menu bar, and click print. Once your printing window opens, click on the “Selection” button under the Page Range options. Then click print. This will print only the text of the post that you highlighted, eliminating the sidebars and blank pages.
First, open the File menu from your browser’s menu bar, and click Print Preview. In some cases, the pages for IE may be pre-formatted and print correctly without needing any adjustments or needing to use any shortcuts. If the print preview shows the entire post, then you can click print. If the formatting is off, go back to the blog post. Highlight the entire text of the post from the Date or Post Title to the very last sentence. Open the File menu again and click print. Once the printing window opens, click on the “Selection” button under the Page Range options and click print.
These printing shortcuts should enable you to print out the entire Blog Post for use in your training materials or to follow along in tutorial format.
