World Constitutions Illustrated:
2010 Recipient of a Choice Outstanding Academic Title
HeinOnline’s World Constitutions Illustrated brings together constitutional documents, books, articles, bibliographic references and websites all into one database. Learn more about what’s been added this month>>
We have now moved into Phase 2 of the project, where we will add intermediate steps between the current/original and current/latest versions of the constitutions for each country. Whereas Phase 1 focused on acquiring the current and latest state of the text for each country, Phase 2 will focus on the text as originally adopted and promulgated and the subsequent amending documents. While the addition of the most recent developments will remain a priority, many of the documents added in this phase will help establish the legislative history of the current/latest text.
We also invite you to contribute to the project! If you are interested in contributing, please contact us at email@example.com or click on the “Contribute to the Project” button from within the collection in HeinOnline. Many of our contributors offer a single document or book, or offer a suggestion or correction to a translation or a date in the meta data for a particular document. Contributions need not be large to be appreciated!
Use HeinOnline to answer the following Constitution themed trivia question:
During our history, there have been 6 amendments submitted to the states but not ratified by them. Of those 6, only one proposed amendment was signed by the President. What amendment was it and what is the citation to the page in HOL’s World Constitutions Illustrated library where this information can be found?
Submit your answer to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, September 23 to be entered to win a Hein Padfolio and Travel Coffee Mug! Be sure to include your name, organization or institution, and your mailing address. We’ll announce the winner in a follow-up blog post, so stay tuned!
