Recently, some users have reported problems saving the PDFs that they have downloaded from HeinOnline. The problem in particular is that their option to save the PDF has actually disappeared! We believe that the cause of the disappearing ‘Save’ button is one of Windows Vista’s security measures. In some cases Windows does not recognize the origin of the PDF file, and in order to protect the user, it removes the ability to save the file to the computer. If you are experiencing this problem, we have provided a simple way of saving your files without have to alter your security settings.
These instructions apply to those HeinOnline users using Adobe Acrobat, or Acrobat Reader. Changing these setting will cause the Adobe program to open the file outside of your browser window. Once the file is opened in the Adobe program, you can print or save the file just as you normally would.
3.Click OK, and close Acrobat.
