Search HeinOnline by MARC21 Catalog Records
Catalog Search is now available in HeinOnline! Cassidy Cataloguing, HeinOnline’s Official Cataloger, has provided the MARC21 Catalog Records, allowing you to now browse and search by catalog records in HeinOnline.Catalog Search will replace Title Lookup and give you many options to search from, including Publication Title, Author, ISSN/ISBN/LCCN, Subject, and Publisher.
This searching enhancement not only gives you more fields to search, but it also provides a deeper level of indexing, which will allow you to discover new and different resources in HeinOnline. For example: using the “All Fields” option, a search for Pollock finds the following result:
As you can see from a quick glance, Pollock is not included anywhere in the search results. Clicking the MARC Record link from the middle of the search result, will display the cataloging information for this title, which will show a General note on this title for a Testimony and argument of Sir Jonathan F. Pollock.
Are you looking to perform a traditional title lookup search like you did before this change? If so, simply choose Publication Title from the drop down and proceed as you would have with the title lookup search.
