Last year we began posting monthly updates to our World Constitutions Illustrated Library here, on our blog. We have continued to send quarterly e-mail updates regarding new documents, new titles, and new linking in the World’s Constitutions Illustrated library.

With the April release, 83 new documents and 19 new titles have been added to World Constitutions Illustrated; see below for details.



Two documents have been added:

  • The current/latest consolidation from the Parliament in Albanian. This we have had previously, but this latest edition includes annotation concerning the amending laws
  • The Albania text of the first amendment of 13 January 2007 from the official gazette


  • The amending law Act No. 11 of 2011 has been added


34 documents have been added:

  • Current Constitution of 1988:

    • Our updated translations as provided by Professor Keither Rosenn have been updated through Amendment No. 85 of 3 March 2015
    • The Constitution has been amended two times: on 17 March and on 16 April, included is the Portuguese text from our usual three sources, as well as the amending laws
    • The process of including all amending laws is now completed, with the addition of the 21 adopted in the period 1992-1999

Brunei Darussalam

  • 6 amending laws to the Constitution of 1959 (the current text) have been included, from the period 2004-2006 (in English)


  • The amending law of 1 September 2014 has been included in Arabic. An English translation is not yet available


  • The consolidated text of the Constitution of 1979 as amended to 1995


  • Thanks to the efforts of Professor Christina Murray at Capetown, we include four amending laws: of 2001, 2004, and two from 2011, to the Constitution of 1993. Our documents are now fully up to date, as a consolidated text has not been produced

Marshall Islands

  • The consolidated text of the Constitution of 1979 as amended to 1995 as presented by the Judiciary of the Marshall Islands


  • The texts of the 21 amending laws of the period 1921-1939, all from the Official Gazette. We now have a complete collection of the official texts of the amending laws to the current constitution of 1917


  • The original text of the current Constitution of 1990, from the official gazette


  • The Senate has now updated its consolidated English text to include the provisions of the latest amendment, the Twenty-first amendment Act of this past January


  • The Constitution of 1993 has been amended again by Law No. 30305 of 10 March 2015. We include the text of the amending law from the official gazette El Peruano, and have updated our own translation correspondingly. Metadata for the previous 12 amendments has been amplified and completed


  • The Government has consolidated the text of the Constitution of 1960 to include the Constitution Amendment Act, 2013. In addition to it, we include the texts of two amending laws: the Constitution Acts of 2000 and 2005, which we were missing previously


  • We include the text of the latest amendment, the Constitution of Tonga (Amendment) Act, 2014. Metadata for all previous amendments has been amplified and completed


  • We include the current/latest English translation of the Constitutional Court of the Constitution of 1982. This is an annotated presentation of the text as amended to 2011
