HeinOnline is hosted out of multiple data centers for security purposes and to ensure seamless access for our users. As the product continues to grow, we often must upgrade our server space, bandwidth, and power to accommodate increases both in data and user demands. As a result, we will soon be relocating one of our hosting sites to a new state-of-the-art data center which will provide us with a better environment, more space, and increased bandwidth. The relocation is scheduled for Thursday, May 25 and Friday, May 26. Due to the aforementioned multiple operation sites, there should be no downtime or impact to our users.

Part of this upgrade includes quadrupling the bandwidth available to our HOL servers. As a result, we will be dropping some of our old IP addresses and adding new addresses. Anyone using our recommended configurations for the heinonline.org domain and/or having a wildcard proxy server entry for *.heinonline.org will not be impacted. Our high availability DNS load balancing/failover service records will automatically be updated to reflect the correct information. If you are using static IP addresses to access HeinOnline, please use this opportunity to change over to our recommended configurations, which are available in our Knowledge Base.
