What’s New In HeinOnline: July Content Release

It has been a busy month for HeinOnline! Since our trip to Washington, D.C. for AALL, we have had a lot of news to share. We launched our LibGuides homepage, which libraries can feature on their websites as student resources. A new database, Democracy in America, is now available which showcases a new and exciting version of Alexis de Tocqueville’s classic work, Democracy in America. More Secrets of the Serial Set were released this month, but shh, don’t tell anyone! And lastly, we added two new features to Author Profile Pages!

We’ve also been busy adding new material to HeinOnline. In the past month, we added nearly 1,000 titles and more than 1,900 volumes for a total of 820,387 new pages in HeinOnline. We’ll highlight some of the major updates in this blog.

Major Database Updates

The Law Journal Library has grown with the addition of 10 new journals. Two new Restatements were added to the American Law Institute database. Taxation & Economic Reform in America Parts I & II grew by 32 new titles. More than 370 volumes and 220,000 pages were added to the Serial Set for the 63rd-65th session!

Atlantic Law Journal
Vols. 3-20 (2000-2018)

The Atlantic Law Journal is the official publication of the Mid-Atlantic Academy for Legal Studies in Business, Inc. Each of the articles was recommended for publication by the staff editors and reviewers using a double-blind review process. The Atlantic Law Journal attracts large numbers of submissions from professors and scholars located across the United States and overseas.

Cardozo Law Review De-Novo

This student-edited review serves as the Cardozo Law Review‘s online companion. De-Novo is the home for shorter articles on timely legal issues, as well as responses to articles that appear in the print journal. De-Novo also hosts “mini-symposia” that feature articles from professors and practitioners across political and sociological lines in order to create a lively debate on a selected legal issue.

Direito e Desenvolvimento
Vols. 1-9 (2010-2018)

This is a peer-edited, biannual publication whose purpose is to disseminate research, helping to identify legal data that are committed to current affairs, especially in Brazil, regarding law and development and its related areas.

Florida Law Review Forum
Vols. 64-71 Article 1 (2012-2019)

The Florida Law Review Forum is a student-edited online companion to the Florida Law Review. It features short responses to scholarship published in the printed pages of the Florida Law Review.

Historia et ius
Vols. 1-15 (2012-2019)

Historia et ius is an international, peer-edited online journal dedicated to medieval, modern and contemporary historical legal studies. Founded in 2012 after the initiative of a group Italian legal historians, the journal is supported by an editorial board composed by European legal historians of high scientific profile.

Ius Romanum

This refereed journal is open to all authors interested in Roman law and Roman legal tradition around the world. The official languages of the journal are Bulgarian, English, French, Italian and Spanish. Every article is published in Bulgarian and/or in the original language.

This refereed journal is a professional academic journal which promotes the academic communication about laws of Romania and other countries. It covers subjects including legal history, law rules, legal culture, legal theories, legal systems, and much more.

Oromia Law Journal
Vols. 1-7 (2012-2018)

The Oromia Law Journal is a peer-edited journal that covers articles, book reviews, legislative and case comments related to legal, economic, political, and social issues arising in relation to Oromia, Ethiopian, and other related international laws.

Revista Romana de Dreptul Muncii

This journal serves as a forum for debates in labor law and is an essential source of information, meant to contribute to the formation of an efficient and sound doctrine to support the creation of modern legislative framework.

Trends in State Courts

This peer-edited journal examines what courts are doing, or perhaps need to do, to confront many important issues, such as drug abuse, human trafficking, and immigration enforcement.
