We Looked Back on 2019

2019 turned out to be quite an eventful year around the world. As the global landscape changed and expanded, so did HeinOnline. In 2019 alone, HeinOnline had more than 15 million searches and nearly 1 billion hits! Check out an overview of HeinOnline’s activity in 2019.

HeinOnline Integrated with ORCID

HeinOnline is pleased to announce that it has integrated with ORCID, a registry of unique identifiers for researchers and scholars. Registering for an ORCID iD is free and ensures that authors receive accurate attribution for their contributions to the legal field.


New Updates to World Constitution Illustrated

Since October 2019, HeinOnline has updated 16 countries and added 110 new titles to the World Constitutions Illustrated database. Check out the full WCI content update for a list of updated countries.


More to Find in the U.S. Congressional Serial Set

In the past month alone, nearly 400 volumes and more than 220,000 pages were added to the U.S. Congressional Serial Set. Investigate the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger disaster with our most recent Secrets of the Serial Set.

New Federal Legislative Histories

17 new legislative histories were added to the U.S. Federal Legislative History Library. We would like to send a special thank you to Pepper Hamilton for contributing much of this material!


Major Database Updates

The Law Journal Library continues to grow with the addition of 10 new titlesForty new titles were added to our most recent database, the U.S. Presidential Impeachment Library. An additional 40 titles were added to the History of International Law database, as well. The American Indian Law Collection was updated to include 11 new titles, while 23 were added to Religion and the Law. Our Reports of U.S. Presidential Commissions database was updated to include 15 new titles. World Constitutions Illustrated now includes 42 new titles, and the Legal Classics Library continues to grow with the addition of 120 titles.
