Highlights from the Past Month

We Celebrated Women’s History Month

To honor and highlight the many contributions of women to events in history, HeinOnline bloggers wrote about a variety of topics such as milestone moments in the fight for women’s rights; the story of Jeannette Rankin, the first women elected to Congress; and the history of the Equal Rights Amendment, as well as where it stands today.

We Revealed Another Secret of the Serial Set

We dedicated this month’s Secrets of the Serial Set post to North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)—the first peacetime military alliance outside of the Western Hemisphere involving the United States.

We Dove into the Complicated History Between NATO and Ukraine

Using HeinOnline resources, we explored the timeline of events between NATO and Ukraine, as well as where they currently stand with the ongoing Russian attacks.

We Enhanced Preview of the United States Supreme Court Cases

This past month, Volume 49, Issue 6 was added, providing a sneak peek at March SCOTUS cases. What’s more, we now include the predecessor title to Preview, Memorandum on Case in the United States Supreme Court. This new addition can be found in the Law Journal Library, Preview of the United States Supreme Court Cases, and the U.S. Supreme Court Library.

We Added More Articles to Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals

This month, more than 1,500 articles were added to HeinOnline’s Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals (IFLP) database with the addition of issue 2021:05 and 2021:06. This database is the preeminent multilingual index to articles and book reviews appearing in nearly 600 legal journals published worldwide. Learn more about this database here.

We Announced an Update to Our World Constitution Illustrated Database

LibGuide Update

We have enhanced the U.S. Supreme Court Library and History of Supreme Court Nominations LibGuides to include links to author profiles for both current and past Supreme Court justices. Users can now easily peruse through the Supreme Court justices’ scholarly works found within HeinOnline.

We’ve added a ton of content to some of our most popular HeinOnline databases! Check out the substantial additions this month:

  • The Law Journal Library continues to grow with the addition of 8 new journals.
  • 110 hearings, 91 CRS reports, and 2 committee prints were added to the U.S. Congressional Documents database.
  • Legal Classics grew by 72 titles.
  • 46 titles were added to Preview of United States Supreme Court Cases.
  • GAO Reports and Comptroller General Decisions grew by 67 titles.
  • 64 titles were added to Military and Government.
  • American Enterprise Institute grew by 17 titles.
