New Journals Added to HeinOnline: May 2022

With the May content release, we added 10 new journals, six of which are from our recent agreement with Springer. These new journals cover subjects including jurisprudence, criminal law, international law, constitutional law, and more! Keep reading to learn all about these publications.


1. Columbia Journal of Transnational Law: The Bulletin

Subjects: Comparative and Foreign Law, Courts, Capital Punishment, Criminal Law and Procedure

Fifty years ago, under the guidance of the late Professor Wolfgang Friedmann, a group of Columbia law students belonging to the Columbia Society of International Law founded the Bulletin of the Columbia Society of International Law. The Bulletin‘s first volume, containing two issues, was a forum for the informal discussion of international legal questions; the second volume, published in 1963 under the title International Law Bulletin, aspired more to the tradition of the scholarly law review. Today’s Columbia Journal of Transnational Law is heir to those early efforts. Now, in addition to publishing student Notes in the Journal’s paper issues, starting in 2020, the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law also publishes online Notes on the Bulletin.


2. Constitutional Political Economy

Constitutional Political Economy is a forum for research in the broad field of constitutional analysis. Its grounding discipline is economics, but the systematic study of institutions requires consideration of economic, political, legal, and philosophical motivations, rules, and effects. As a consequence, the journal is interdisciplinary and includes research from a variety of perspectives.


3. Employee Responsibilities and Rights Journal

Employee Responsibilities and Rights Journal fosters development in the field of employee relations by presenting high-quality, peer-reviewed original research articles and by linking practitioner concerns involving the employment relationship with academic rigor. The journal is interdisciplinary in focus, drawing from a broad range of disciplines including ethics, organizational behavior, law, economics, sociology, social psychology, industrial and employment relations, administrative and organizational studies, and philosophy to further the understanding of both employee responsibilities and rights. The journal offers an international forum for the publication of scholarly, peer-reviewed original research including qualitative and quantitative empirical studies, case studies, critical commentaries, and conceptual and dialectic presentations.


4. European Journal on Criminal Policy and Research

The European Journal on Criminal Policy and Research monitors crime trends in today’s enlarged Europe and beyond. The focus of its peer-reviewed coverage is on understanding crime in different geographical and socio-economic contexts, on presenting innovative crime prevention policies and practices, and on following legislative and institutional change.


5. HEC Forum

HEC Forum is an international, peer-reviewed publication featuring original contributions of interest to practicing physicians, nurses, social workers, risk managers, attorneys, ethicists, and other HEC committee members. Contributions from all pertinent sources are included, written in a style appealing to HEC members and lay readers.


6. Indian Arbitration Law Review

This publication’s mission is to provide academicians, legal professionals, and students an up-to-date review of arbitration law. Its intended audience includes anyone who is interested in reading arbitration law—be it academicians, practicing counsels, solicitors, or students trying to explore this area. This is an an annual, double-blind, peer-reviewed journal.


7. International Journal of Law, Ethics, and Technology (IJLET)

The International Journal of Law, Ethics, and Technology is designed to understand all matters relating to the law. While the Journal emphasizes theoretical work and broad issues arising from law to technology, no topic of legal interest and no approach to scholarship is excluded. The peer-reviewed Journal welcomes outstanding original doctrinal and critical scholarship contributions to domestic and international law, comparative law, legal history, and legal philosophy. In addition, it welcomes interdisciplinary contributions in areas of relevance to the law and, in particular, work that uses the techniques of the social sciences and the humanities to contribute to understanding legal studies. In terms of its substance, this Journal combines domestic, international, and comparative law. Indeed, the editors view the Journal as a context where these three subjects, traditionally defined as distinct fields, can enter into a productive dialogue about current changes in the world and be open to the work of all scholars wherever they may be.

Topics include public and private law, civil and criminal justice, international law, ethics, and legal theory.


9. Plassey Law Review

Published by University of Limerick / UL Law Society

Subjects: Courts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Business and the Law, Contracts

The Plassey Law Review is a student-run law review established at the University of Limerick. The Review publishes articles and case notes on legal topics submitted primarily by law students or graduates from UL and other universities. The Review is established in conjunction with the School of Law at the University of Limerick.


10. Res Publica
