Nearly a decade ago, U.S. News & World Report approached HeinOnline about powering a national scholarly-impact ranking using our citation data. Even then, it was clear that the legal community needed a deeper, more transparent way to understand influence, something rooted not in reputation or popularity, but in evidence.
