This Ice Cream Month, HeinOnline is giving users a treat of its own. Libraries worldwide are scooping up and serving LibGuides, and HeinOnline is officially joining them! For a taste, check out HeinOnline’s Blog post.

When HeinOnline was first launched in May 2000, it contained a small collection of law reviews. With the addition of ten new journals this past month, the Law Journal Library now contains more than 2,700 journals! Let’s take a closer look at what this multidisciplinary database has to offer.

Effective April 1, 2019: In order to improve HeinOnline and the overall user experience, enhancements have been made to HeinOnline’s infrastructure. Other than increased performance, these changes will not be noticeable to the end user.
This past February, U.S. News announced that they were considering evaluating U.S. law school scholarly impact and would be using HeinOnline as the source for the citation
Reports of U.S. Presidential Commissions and Other Advisory Bodies: A Bibliographic Listing has been named to the 2018 List of Best Historical Materials. Learn more about this award winning title in this blog.
U.S. News has been collaborating with the Hein Company to potentially create a new ranking, which would evaluate the scholarly impact of law schools across the United States. Learn more about this collaboration here.
2018 certainly had its ups and downs. HeinOnline continued to grow and improving, in 2018 alone we had more than 12 million searches & nearly 500 million hits! We added new databases, new content and implemented new search features. Here’s a brief synopsis of what happened with HeinOnline in 2018.
