HeinOnline Law Journals Are Being Indexed by Google Scholar

It’s no secret! As Due Process, WisBlawg and ZiefBrief have all reported, Google Scholar is indexing the Law Journals in HeinOnline to make the more than 1,100 titles searchable in the Google Scholar interface. The indexing is still ongoing, as Google Scholar has not fully indexed all of the titles in the Law Journal Collection as of yet. Over the next 30 days or so they should near completion of the indexing at which point the entire HeinOnline Law Journal collection will be searchable in Google Scholar.

So how does it work? Go to Google Scholar and search for a Law Journal or an article name from within a Law Journal…

Coming Soon! Comprehensive Coverage of Title 37: Patents, Trademarks, and Copyrights in the CFR

At the beginning of April, Title 37: Patents, Trademarks, and Copyrights of the Code of Federal Regulations will be available in it’s entirety, from inception to date. With the back fill of content from 1987-2003 coming to completion, Intellectual Property research will be even more extensive and substantial in HeinOnline.

When researching in the CFR, don’t forget to use the “Citations on Page” option to link directly to any Federal Register citations that appear on the page and are identifiable in HeinOnline.

U.S. Federal Agency Library coming in this month's release!

The first section of the much anticipated U.S. Federal Agency Library will be available with the December Content release. The U.S. Federal Agency Library is a complete collection of the official case law of some of the United States’ most important government institutions. This case law, also known as decision law, is the body of reported judicial opinions that are published by each agency and thereby become precedent and the basis for future decisions. Our development team has been working diligently on our new Foreign Relations of the United States collection that will be available at the end of the month.

This new collection to HeinOnline will contain approximately 450 volumes and half a million pages of content. The content will be able to be browsed or searched by presidential administration. The collection will also be available at no cost for those who were early subscribers to our Foreign and International Law Resources Database (FILRD).
