If you're already taking advantage of or you plan to set up HeinOnline branding, we have a new enhancement available that will increase the functionality of the e-TOC alerts currently available to users of the MyHein feature in HeinOnline.

If you use a proxy and provide us the prefix and (if necessary) the suffix to your proxy URL on your branding request, we can create proxy links in e-TOC alert e-mails. This will enable users accessing remotely via a proxy server to simply click on the link to access the material, instead of being redirected to the HeinOnline login page. The e-mail received containing the e-TOC alerts would now look like this:

The direct link will work from any IP authenticated system…

Thanks to additional customer suggestions, we have improved upon the subcollection feature now available on the HeinOnline welcome page. From the list of Subscribed Libraries, main collections can be expanded to show any resident subcollections, thus making it faster and easier to navigate to a specific section of the library.

Any collection that has available subcollections will be noted with a plus sign:

If you click on the collection, it will expand to reveal available quick-linked subcollections:

From here, click on the subcollection that best suits your needs. The “All Titles” option will take you into the full collection:

Please note that clicking on any HeinOnline library that does not have subcollections will continue to take you directly into the library…

Enhancement: Sub-Collection Quick Links added to List of Subscribed Libraries

Customer Suggestion, Enhancements, What's New
Shannon Furtak

You may have noticed that the HeinOnline Welcome Page looks slightly different. Thanks to a suggestion from Jim Heller of the College of William and Mary, we have added quick links to major subcollections under the main collection link for certain HeinOnline libraries. For example, under U.S. Congressional Documents we have now quick-linked to Debates of Congress, Congressional Budget Office, Rules & Precedents, and so on:

Once you click on a subcollection link, you’ll be brought directly into that subcollection within the main library. The subcollection you selected will be highlighted in yellow:

As always, we welcome feedback and suggestions from our valued customers. Thank you for working with us to continually improve and enhance all aspects of HeinOnline…
