Explore the key features below to see how this comprehensive resource can transform your research process.

Explore Annotations Written by the Expert Editors

Each article features editor-crafted abstracts designed to provide researchers with a clear understanding of its contents. These detailed annotations highlight key themes and topics, offering valuable insight at a glance and helping researchers determine whether an article is relevant to their needs. Developed through a thorough review of the professional literature, these abstracts bridge the gap in traditional indexing tools by offering comprehensive, meaningful guidance for more effective research.

Browse & Search by Custom Subject Headings

Users can easily browse and search using a custom subject heading list developed by the editors, who reviewed every article to ensure accurate categorization. By tailoring subject headings to the nuances of law librarianship, this tool eliminates guesswork and streamlines the research process, making it easier to uncover the most relevant and impactful resources.

Target Your Research by Library Type

To enhance usability, each article is assigned a broad category based on its target audience, such as academic law libraries, law firm libraries, or other specialized settings. This categorization allows users to search or browse by Library Type, ensuring they can quickly find resources tailored to their specific professional environment. Whether you’re looking for insights relevant to an academic institution or practical tools for a law firm, this feature streamlines your research by focusing on articles most applicable to your needs.

Discover Articles of Landmark Significance

Each article in the database is assigned an evaluation by the editors, offering valuable guidance on its significance and relevance. Articles are categorized as Landmark–offering great value and lasting importance, Continuing Value –useful for current research, or Historical Value–of historical interest. Users can browse, search, and filter results by significance, ensuring they find articles that align with their specific needs. There are more than 340 Landmark articles in the database!

Access Dedicated Bibliographies & Research Guides

The database also includes several hundred bibliographies, identified by the editors as valuable resources for the field of law librarianship. While these bibliographies may lack the detailed metadata assigned to articles, they remain highly relevant and are fully integrated into the custom search index.
