Additional Information: Founded in 1948, mainly due to the efforts of Petros Vallindas, the Revue hellinique de droit international was conceived as a medium for facilitating the interchange of ideas in the fields of public and private international law on the international level but also as a forum for the presentation abroad of the developments in the Greek legal science. To this day the Revue has remained the only Greek legal periodical published exclusively in a language other than Greek.

Nearing its fiftieth anniversary the Revue continues to be true to its great tradition and yet innovative and modern at the same time. This is mainly the task undertaken by a group of young international lawyers who, under the guidance of K.D. Kerameus, will steer the fortunes of the Revue into the next fifty years and beyond.

The Revue has now largely taken the format of a yearbook. It will be published at the end of each calendar year serving as an authoritative source of valuable information for that same year. Although in the beginning of its long history the Revue was written almost entirely in French, English has now become the prevailing language. However, the Revue boasts a multilingual Editorial Board and is especially interested in presenting and reviewing books and journals in all major European languages.
