Additional Information: Launched in 2009, JEEL is a student-run publication of The George Washington University Law School in cooperation with the Environmental Law Institute. JEEL publishes articles across the full range of environmental issues, but focuses on the intersections between energy, environment, and climate law, recognizing the increasing importance of these areas in producing more sustainable environmental outcomes.

JEEL is published third time a year and has a unique audience. In addition to reaching the traditional law journal audience, JEEL supplements the Environmental Law Reporter News & Analysis, one of the most highly ranked and most frequently cited environmental law journals in the country, with two annual volumes of analysis and proposals about contemporary environmental and energy law topics. This association establishes a broad readership for our authors, including academics, law firms, government agencies, and others. Issues feature traditional law review articles (about 15,000 to 20,000 words), including student notes and shorter perspective pieces (ranging from 800 to 14,000 words) by legal practitioners and policymakers that provide perspectives on critical energy and environmental issues.
