Additional Information: The Journal of Health Care Law & Policy (JHCLP) is starting its eighth year at the University of Maryland School of Law. The JHCLP materialized from the Maryland Journal of Contemporary Legal Issues that existed for eight years. The JHCLP provides a forum for the interdisciplinary discussion of leading issues in health law, medical, health policy, and other law-related issues. Over the past several years, the JHCLP has published articles written by legal and medical scholars, health law attorneys, policy makers, and other nationally recognized experts in related fields such as business, economics, sociology, and philosophy.

In addition to taking a multifaceted approach to health and the law, the JHCLP also provides an excellent educational opportunity for students to apply their academic work while developing substantial legal research and writing techniques. Furthermore, the JHCLP has a close working relationship with the Law & Health Care Program, ranked third in the nation among other competing law schools.
