Additional Information: The Journal of Law, Social Justice and Global Development is an interdisciplinary peer-review research journal, which is Open Access and available online. The Journal responds to the complex relationship between globalisation, social justice and development. It forms a platform for critical research on areas that require interdisciplinary scrutiny -- democratisation, constitutionalism, economic liberalisation, human rights, gender justice, global governance and social movements. The Journal carries double blind peer-reviewed articles and is supported by an International Advisory Board. It welcomes a diversity of submissions, including special contributions, practice and perspective commentaries, book reviews, and conference reports and papers. It also seeks to highlight relevant current events, such as conferences, workshops and opportunities for scholars and practitioners in the field. The journal is committed to diversity in disciplinary, theoretical and regional-cultural backgrounds, and especially welcomes contributions from scholars and practitioners (e.g. teachers or activists) based in the global South and transitional economies. An example of past themes and topics include the subjects of gender and globalisation; culture and development; domestic violence; migration and refugee rights; role and funding of NGOs; legal discourse around displacement; reproductive health, politics and ethics of public health; reports on tribunals and World Bank meetings; human trafficking, child labour; education and neoliberal economic globalisation. The Journal, established by Professor Abdul Paliwala in 2000, has also featured the work of renowned scholars such as Upendra Baxi and Boaventura de Sousa Santos, among many others. The Journal is committed to transnational collaboration and solidarity with scholars, researchers, NGO workers and activists. It welcomes proposals for special issues, particularly emerging from public or professional symposia, conferences and development projects.
