Additional Information: The central mission of the Michigan Journal of Gender & Law is to create a feminist legal publication that will help expand and develop legal discourse beyond traditional boundaries. The Journal is dedicated to providing a forum for exploring how gender issues and related issues of race, class, sexual orientation, and culture impact the lives of women and men. The Journal seeks to compare, contrast, and combine theoretical and practical perspectives on gender issues in order to provide a bridge between theory and practice. To achieve these purposes, the Journal will publish the views of legal scholars, social scientists, practitioners, students, and others. It is our hope that different views, however passionately held, will all receive discussion within the Journal. We welcome the submissions and responses of our readers.
