Additional Information: The Washington and Lee Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice is a research and reference publication focusing on race and ethnicity as it intersects with class, gender, ability, sexuality and the law. Conceived as neither leftist nor conservative, but in a spirit of openness, the Journal explores how minorities are classified, ignored, and singled out. The Journal seeks to speak on behalf of minorities by reaching out to the larger community, to educate them and to grow with them. To that end, the Journal seeks to provide a space for scholars of all persuasions to expand and develop a theoretical, critical and socially relevant discourse. The articles published in the Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice will be building blocks for understanding the issues that face society today.
