Additional Information for Final Report of the Attorney General's Committee on Administrative Procedure
The Final Report was designed to serve two purposes, (1) to guide the existing agencies in improving their own methods, and (2) to place before Congress matters which could best be dealt with by new legislation. The committee was comprised of representatives of the executive branch of the federal government, the courts, and the practicing bar, and its recommendations were to serve as a guide to administrative officials.
