Considered a landmark legal historical work, Joseph Story's book on international jurisprudence was met with great praise form the jurists of the U.S. and Europe, particularly those in England. Story was the youngest-ever U.S. Supreme Court Justice at age 32 and his 12 volumes of commentaries on various aspects of law became acknowledged by the world as the American authority on the law.
