ADVANCE BIBLIOGRAPHY OF LAW AND RELATED FIELDS COMMONLY KNOWN AS "GREENSLIPS"

Item #: 204

Subjects: BIBLIOGRAPHY, LIBRARIANSHIP, LEGAL PROFESSION

Commonly known as "GreenSlips". The purpose of the bibliographic service is to provide law libraries with information on all new titles which they might be interested in purchasing for their libraries. Titles are listed on 3x5 slips by main entry. In addition to author, title, imprint, and collation, the slips include LC numbers, series information, source of information, and price. Slips are sent by first class mail. More than 2,100 titles a year are hand selected by a law librarian, who reviews multiple sources, including American Book Publishing Record; law libraries' new acquisitions lists; aw publishers' circulars, catalogs, web pages, email notices; university press catalogs, web pages, email notices; vendor web pages; and World Cat.This service is also available online at http://www.heingreenslips.com, which provides bibliographic information on tens of thousands of law and law-related publications from 1994 to present. Subscribers can customize their own master accounts and create specialized sub-accounts for others within their organization. Multiple search options are available, and users can select the frequency with which they can receive updated information. See www.heingreenslips.com for more information.
