Personal propertyof murdered Jews was collected and utilized in various ways.Watches were distributed to the German Army, jewelry wastransferred to state-owned pawn shops for sale on interna-tional and domestic markets, clothing was distributed amongvarious segments of the population, hair of the murdered wasused in stuffing mattresses and dental gold was melted downinto gold bars. Documentation in this volume includesdescriptions of the methods of killing, as told by extermin-ation camp commanders and others, as well as records of thedistribution of loot taken from the murdered.
