Beverley Tucker, son of St. George Tuckerand half-brother of John Randolph, began an unsuccessful lawpractice upon his graduation from William and Mary. Hisbusiness failing despite his family connections, Tuckerrelocated to Missouri where he opposed the MissouriCompromise and gained a judicial seat.
