We’ve been busy celebrating our birthday, in quarantine of course, but that hasn’t kept us from preparing new and historical content to bring directly to your home, office, or wherever you may be social distancing. Let’s take a look at what new material is now discoverable with our latest content release.

MAY 2020 CONTENT RELEASE SUMMARY

Highlights of the Past Month

  • The year 2020 marks two major anniversaries for the Hein Company—100 years of William S. Hein & Co., Inc. and 20 years of HeinOnline! We celebrated by reflecting on the growth of the Hein Company and HeinOnline.
  • A companion piece to the second edition, this new print and online resource presents as extensive as possible a list of those casebooks intended for use in law schools and published in the United States from their inception in 1871. The incorporation of 4,000 new entries since the first edition makes this resource the only comprehensive casebook index in both print and digital format.
  • Twitter has been abuzz ever since the American Association of Law Libraries weekday KnowItAALL newsletter released our webpage dedicated to showcasing ScholarRank’s Top 250 Authors in HeinOnline. Get the 411 on ScholarRank here.
  • Kevin Marmion was hired as a temporary warehouse worker back in 1970. Today, he stands proudly at the CEO. Take a look back at Kevin Marmion’s 50 year rise to the top as his daughter highlights what he considers to be his biggest accomplishments throughout the years.
  • We recently announced that individual authors and authorized librarians now have the option to edit their author profile pages. Users can now add their Google Scholar and SSRN profile links to their Author Profile page via their Author Profile admin portal.
  • We are thrilled to announce that Business and Legal Aspects of Sports and Entertainment database is the recipient of the 2020 Joseph L. Andrews Award. This news comes shortly after AALL amended its requirement to allow the submission of online products.
  • In the past month alone, more than 300 volumes and 265,000 pages were added to the Serial Set. We continue our Secrets of the Serial Set series with an exploration of the Intelligence Community’s successful operation to kill Osama bin Laden, the world-renowned terrorist responsible for the September 11 attacks on the United States.
