1. Columbia Journal of Transnational Law: The Bulletin

Fifty years ago, under the guidance of the late Professor Wolfgang Friedmann, a group of Columbia law students belonging to the Columbia Society of International Law founded the Bulletin of the Columbia Society of International Law. The Bulletin‘s first volume, containing two issues, was a forum for the informal discussion of international legal questions; the second volume, published in 1963 under the title International Law Bulletin, aspired more to the tradition of the scholarly law review. Today’s Columbia Journal of Transnational Law is heir to those early efforts. Now, in addition to publishing student Notes in the Journal’s paper issues, starting in 2020, the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law also publishes online Notes on the Bulletin.

Constitutional Political Economy is a forum for research in the broad field of constitutional analysis. Its grounding discipline is economics, but the systematic study of institutions requires consideration of economic, political, legal, and philosophical motivations, rules, and effects. As a consequence, the journal is interdisciplinary and includes research from a variety of perspectives.

The International Journal of Law, Ethics, and Technology is designed to understand all matters relating to the law. The peer-reviewed Journal welcomes outstanding original doctrinal and critical scholarship contributions to domestic and international law, comparative law, legal history, and legal philosophy. In addition, it welcomes interdisciplinary contributions in areas of relevance to the law and, in particular, work that uses the techniques of the social sciences and the humanities to contribute to understanding legal studies. In terms of its substance, this Journal combines domestic, international, and comparative law. Indeed, the editors view the Journal as a context where these three subjects, traditionally defined as distinct fields, can enter into a productive dialogue about current changes in the world and be open to the work of all scholars wherever they may be.
