MICROFILM/MICROFICHE CONVERSION
It has been a pleasure to work with William S. Hein & Co. on our Supreme Court of Nevada digital case files project. Our collection of microfilm spanned from 1862, before statehood, to 1999. When we were considering partners, we wanted a vendor with prior experience and knew the Virginia State Law Library had success working with Hein on a similar project several years earlier. We needed our collection to be available to legal researchers throughout Nevada, indexed by year and docket number, and keyword searchable. During the digitization process, we received several requests from the Court and library patrons for specific case files. As our entire microfilm collection had been sent to Hein, we would pass these requests on to Hein and they would scan the requested case file and return it to us, often within 24 hours. We appreciate the care given to our microfilm collection and the speed and attention they gave to our patron requests during the digitization process. We look forward to having the entire digital collection of case files available to all Nevadans by November 2025 through the HeinOnline platform.
