Over 2,600 Records Added to HeinOnline’s JFK Assassination Collection

Docs. 1 (2021). This … Continue reading the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) had recently disclosed previously withheld records regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy, with more than 13,000 documents recently released and added to HeinOnline’s John F. Kennedy Assassination Collection. The remaining records were required to be released by June 30, 2023. Due to the release of that content, more than 2,600 records have been added to the collection and are now fully searchable in HeinOnline.

Content recently released includes:

  • June 27, 2023: 1,103 documents
  • June 13, 2023: 290 documents
  • May 11, 2023: 502 documents
  • April 27, 2023: 355 documents
  • April 13, 2023: 422 documents

This statute can be found in HeinOnline’s U.S. Statutes at Large … Continue reading is a public law passed by the U.S. Congress, directing the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) to create a collection of records known as the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection. The act stated that this collection must consist of all U.S. government documents relating to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy, including any state or local law enforcement materials.

In October of 2017, President Donald Trump directed the National Archives to release the materials that were previously withheld. Following the latest release in April 2018, the collection now consists of more than 56,000 documents, including FBI, CIA, and other government agency materials relating to the event. 

HeinOnline has organized and indexed all of this material to make these recently released documents easy to navigate and use. The collection now consists of more than 72,000 volumes, including FBI, CIA, and other government agency materials relating to the event. Also find supplemental material such as books, hearings, other related works, and scholarly articles on the topic.
