Session Laws Indexing Project Update and New Feature Announcement
Back in April 2017 we blogged about the Session Laws indexing project and announced that all 50 states were indexed to the chapter or act level from 2000 to current. We have been diligently indexing our way through the states and we have some news to share!
Author Self-Citations, ScholarCheck Rankings, and Twitter Buzz
HeinOnline has added a metric to Author Profile Page citation data: Self-Citations. This metric counts the cumulative number of times that an author has cited his or her own work. It is not factored into the overall ScholarCheck ranking analysis, nor does it affect the overall citation count.

Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning Tools Added to More Databases in HeinOnline!
Two months ago, new natural language processing and machine learning tools were released in beta format in HeinOnline’s Law Journal Library. These tools are now also available in ABA Law Library Collection Periodicals, Bar Journals Library, and Kluwer Law International Journal Library!
NEW Restatement Section Locator Tool in the American Law Institute Library!
It is now easier than ever to locate specific sections in Restatements of the Law! Thanks to a suggestion from a customer at the John Marshall Law School, the American Law Institute Library now contains a Restatement Section Locator tool.
NEW: Citation Data Extraction is Now Available for Author Profile Pages
HeinOnline recently added a new feature perfect for librarians and scholars tracking citation metrics for an institution’s faculty: users now have the ability to download a CSV of ScholarCheck metrics for an entire institution! This helpful tool was developed thanks to a customer suggestion.
NEW: Email Selected Catalog Search Results
HeinOnline is constantly being updated to include new features to help researchers have the best possible experience. Users can now email selected catalog search results. This new feature is perfect for sharing title lists with students and colleagues.
New Author Profile Email Alert Now Available
Users who have authored articles in HeinOnline or who follow the work of professors and colleagues will love this new feature! Users are now able to receive email alerts when works by authors of their choice are accessed by other HeinOnline researchers.
